Vistabel: Botulinum Toxin for Facial Wrinkles

Vistabel is Allergan's brand name for botulinum toxin type A approved specifically for cosmetic use in Europe. It is used to temporarily relax facial muscles responsible for expression lines — frown lines (glabellar lines), forehead lines and crow's feet are the most common indications.

How Vistabel Works

Botulinum toxin blocks the neuromuscular junction, preventing acetylcholine from triggering muscle contraction. The targeted muscle relaxes, smoothing overlying skin wrinkles. Effect is temporary as nerve terminals regenerate.
