HarmonyCa: Hybrid Filler Combining Hyaluronic Acid and Calcium

HarmonyCa (by Allergan/AbbVie) is a hybrid injectable combining two active components: hyaluronic acid (HA) for immediate volume correction and calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres for long-term collagen stimulation. The combination delivers both immediate and progressive results from a single injection session.

How HarmonyCa Works

The two components work on different timescales:

  • Hyaluronic acid: provides immediate volumising effect and integrates smoothly into tissue
  • Calcium hydroxylapatite (20%): stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin over several months

The result is a two-phase effect: instant correction that gradually transitions into genuine tissue regeneration.

Treatment Areas

  • Mid-face and cheek area volume restoration
  • Jawline definition
  • Chin augmentation
  • Nasolabial folds (deep)
  • Neck and décolleté (skin quality improvement)

Duration of Effect

Immediate HA effect lasts approximately 12 months. The collagen stimulation continues for 18–24 months. Combined effect duration: approximately 18 months or longer depending on individual skin quality.

Costs

TreatmentCost
HarmonyCa (1 syringe)€600–€900
Full mid-face treatment (2 syringes)€1,000–€1,600

Comparison: HarmonyCa vs Radiesse

Both contain CaHA. HarmonyCa additionally contains HA for immediate correction. Radiesse is pure CaHA gel — progressive collagen stimulation without immediate HA volume. HarmonyCa is suited when both immediate and long-term results are desired in one session.
