Dermapen: Microneedling for Firm, Even Skin
Dermapen is a medical microneedling device that uses oscillating fine needles (0.2–2.5 mm depth) to create thousands of micro-injuries in the skin per second. These controlled micro-channels trigger the skin's natural repair response, stimulating collagen and elastin production — for firmer, smoother and more even skin.
How Does Dermapen Work?
The Dermapen needle head contains 16 needles that oscillate at up to 1,300 revolutions per second. This creates up to 1,300 microchannels per second in the skin. The micro-injuries trigger a three-phase healing response: inflammation phase, proliferation phase (new collagen formation) and remodelling phase. The result is new collagen and elastin, improved skin texture and reduced scars.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How many Dermapen sessions are needed?
For skin rejuvenation: 3–4 sessions at 4-week intervals. For acne scars: 4–6 sessions. For hair loss: 6 sessions. Maintenance every 6–12 months.
Can Dermapen be used on darker skin types?
Yes — Dermapen is one of the safest treatments for darker skin types (Fitzpatrick IV–VI) as it does not use heat energy and therefore carries minimal risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). This distinguishes it from laser treatments.
