Mesotherapy: Microinjections for Skin Rejuvenation and Hair Loss

Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive technique involving multiple superficial microinjections of customised "cocktails" of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, hyaluronic acid, enzymes or plant extracts directly into the skin (mesodermal layer). Developed in France in the 1950s, it is used for skin hydration, anti-ageing, body contouring and hair loss.

Applications

Facial Mesotherapy (Skin Brightening and Hydration)

Cocktails containing hyaluronic acid, vitamins (C, B complex), glutathione, antioxidants and amino acids are injected superficially to improve skin radiance, hydration, texture and early signs of ageing. Protocol: 3–6 sessions, 1–2 weeks apart, then maintenance every 1–3 months.

Hair Mesotherapy (Scalp Injections)

Growth factors, vitamins, minoxidil and other active ingredients injected into the scalp to stimulate hair follicles and reduce hair loss. Often used alongside PRP or as standalone treatment.

Body Mesotherapy (Fat Reduction)

Phosphatidylcholine, deoxycholic acid or lipolytic cocktails injected into localised fat deposits. Evidence is mixed; safer alternatives like Kybella (for the chin) now preferred.
